A Day in the Life of a Chalet Host at Chardon

Le Chardon are currently recruiting for Chalet Hosts for next ski season 2012-13 in Val d'Isere, France. Our five beautiful and luxurious chalets are some of the best in the Alps and offer excellent training.

The key focus of the Chalet Host role is to provide first class customer service and create a unique and memorable holiday experience for every one of our special and returning guests. Your day begins with reporting to your Chalet Manager in your designated chalet. Serving is the largest part of your role: morning drinks are served to guests in their bedrooms followed by breakfast in the dining room; afternoon tea is served for the guests' return from the slopes; champagne and canapes are served before dinner; then a four course dinner is served in the evening followed by coffee, after dinner drinks and petits fours. Housekeeping is also an essential part of your role including cleaning, laundry and making beds. Guest beds are made and bathroom amenities restocked each morning and evening. Each chalet's team of a chalet manager, a chef, a host and maintenance staff all work together to help each other and make the most of their time in Val d'Isere.

We want our guests to feel that whilst on holiday they also feel at home and that nothing is too much trouble. You will be required to attend to guest enquiries and their special requests. A high degree of attention to detail, reliable punctuality, a polished appearance and excellent people skills is required to meet our guest expectations and to ensure the perfect running of a five star establishment. You will be representing the Chardon brand within resort, to local suppliers and to our international guests.
