Alternative activities whilst in Val d'Isere skiing

Whilst the skiing in Valdisere is fantastic, there are so many other things to do and places to go in Val d'Isere that you'll really be spoiled for choice. Here is our pick of the most exciting, unusual and memorable things to try while you're here, as well as a range of other activities for you to enjoy.

Our concierge service will happily organise any additional activities for our guests.

Helicopter Flights - A real once in a lifetime experience! Hover around the Espace Killy or tour around the Olympic resorts of the High Tarentaise. Alternatively fly as far as the Mont Blanc, marvelling at the wonderful scenery beneath you.

Paragliding - If you like the freedom and silence of non-powered flight, why not try paragliding? Tandem flights with qualified and experienced paragliding instructors take place from various sites in the Espace Killy. Available every day depending on weather conditions.

Igloo Evening - the evening begins with a helicopter flight up the mountain to a champagne reception, from where you skidoo to a private mountain igloo for a candlelit Savoyarde feast, served with wine, champagne and soft drinks, and followed by Genepi (an Alpine liqueur) served in a sculpted ice glass. Once the evening's festivities are over you skidoo back to the piste and ski down by torch-lit descent, accompanied by 2 members of the ski patrol, an instructor, and your event organiser. You are then driven back to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Minimum group size is 10. For a lunch time alternative please get in touch.

Ice Diving - Explore what lies beneath the ice covering the "Lac de Tignes". You will go down through a hole cut in the ice (always tethered to the surface - you won't get lost!) and spend around 15 minutes by the side of the instructor, exploring the magical ice formations. Available everyday from 11am until 4pm, from mid-December until early April. No prior experience is necessary. All equipment provided. Both day and night options are available.

Husky Sledging - Get a taste of Alaska on a husky powered sledge whilst taking in the breathtaking mountain scenery. If you fancy something challenging, learn to drive the pack yourself. Two people per sled - Driver (Musher)plus one passenger(+1 child). Limited to mornings only. A half day initiation, driving through the forest trails of Sainte Foy is also available. (2hours 30mins) Transport for this is included. Minimum 4 people.

Try a full night of training from 5.30pm until 8.30pm including briefing, workshops, instruction and an end of training debrief and cocktail with your group. Instead you may opt for one supervised hour with instruction to suit your level. Available between 5.30 pm and 8.30 pm. Alternatively, live a moment of pure adrenalin, as a passenger to one of our drivers.
