This is a diverse and extremely challenging role in which you will need to demonstrate exceptional management skills as you have overall responsibility for every aspect of the chalet operation and for the performance of each individual member of the chalet team. The main emphasis in this role is on customer service, the key objective being to deliver a world-class hospitality service and to create unique and memorable holiday experiences for every client.
- management, training and development of each member of the chalet team
- customer service delivery + guest satisfaction (inc catering, transport, skiing, après ski, games/entertainment, child care, technology/communications)
- proactive communication with guests to ensure all queries are answered and any special requests are met at the earliest opportunity
- housekeeping (laundry, cleanliness and presentation throughout the chalet)
- general chalet maintenance
- to be conscious of general hygiene, maintaining health and safety standards at all times
- local supplier relations
- managing chalet budgets
- completion of all financial and non-financial paperwork
- communication with the Guest Relations Manager pre arrival + post departure
This role would suit individuals with the following skill set:
- previous 4/5 star hospitality or silver service experience
- previous general management experience

- fluent English, conversational French (preferred)

This is a very demanding but extremely rewarding role with full responsibility for the catering service in your allocated chalet. The emphasis in this role is the ability to draw on your own impressive experience and creativity to design and deliver a luxury chalet catering service of the highest possible standard.
- menu design and planning
- placing of food orders
- preparation and service of breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés, five course evening meal, ski room snacks, pre-dinner nibbles, after dinner petits fours, and turn down presents
- catering for all guests special dietary requirements
- catering for all requests for special occasions
- catering for children and nannies (including early lunches and dinners when required)
- to be conscious of food hygiene and general health and safety in the kitchen and dining areas
- keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and presentable
- assisting with the management of chalet food budgets
- assisting with the maintenance of all kitchen facilities and equipment
- planning and preparation of staff meals

- recognised catering qualification or extensive experience

Housekeeper - POSITION NOW CLOSED FOR THE 2011/2012 SKI SEASON
This is a very demanding but rewarding role and a fantastic opportunity to assist in some amazing chalets in Val D’Isere. You will assist in creating unique and memorable holiday experiences for every client by ensuring the chalets are maintain and cleaned to high standards at all times. The working day is split into 2 shifts, morning and evening, leaving you free each afternoon. Previous housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential.
9:30 – 13:30
- Clean all bedrooms and bathrooms in chalet
- Re make or changeover the beds (Wednesday changeover and Sunday)
- Hoover all bedrooms and bathrooms & stairwells / hallways
- Clean the Spa area & check its stocked with soaps / gels / shampoos / drinks etc... water in sauna bucket
- Every few days clean all windows in the spa area and around the chalet – evenings can be used for this too a can non changeover days
- Clean and hoover central areas of dining room / living room
- Clean and tidy boot room and replenish water / ski snacks
18:00-22:00
- Tidy and re clean living area after tea time , clear dining table of any dishes and re clean dining area ready for dinner set up
- Tidy and re clean the spa / pool area after guests have finished using it and turn off pool lights / sauna / steam room etc close spa area unless guests want to carry on using it
- Do turn down in all bedrooms (turn down duvet to half way neatly, turn on side lights and off main lights, close curtains, tidy room and bathroom, empty bin if necessary and re point toilet paper, clean sinks, toilets and baths where necessary (quick clean)
- KP duties for chef / washing up pots and pans / stacking dishwasher with dirty dishes – should be between 21:00-22:00
- Take any rubbish and recycling to the bins on way home, (rest will be taken by Manager / Assistant Mgr at end of evening)

Maintenance Worker - POSITION NOW CLOSED FOR THE 2011/2012 SKI SEASON
This role is challenging yet rewarding, you are generally referred to as the "backbone of the resort" and are renowned for keeping things running smoothly and effortlessly behind the scenes.
- Help to welcome the guests with chalet teams on a Sunday and help to carry luggage to rooms, ensuring that there is a good rota to ensure cover through the day
- Excellent knowledge of the local town, all shops and suppliers
- Always keeping the car park and terraces on the chalets clear of snow and ice
- In charge of the tidiness of the general outside area/hot tubs/spa areas & boot rooms. Also emptying, cleaning and re-filling hot tubs once a week & keeping logs of pools and hot tubs
- Maintain contact and good relationships with local people
- The role is flexible and work will range from cleaning or stacking firewood to the lifting and carrying in of deliveries, including wine, food and other supplies to assist the chalet teams
- Prepare vehicles for clients - to include warming them up and loading luggage and skis in the rack (Chardon vehicle only). Keep vehicle clean inside and out at all times
- In charge of minor maintenance and/or IT following the Head Maintenance instructions
- In charge of outdoor furniture, making sure that it is laid out and clean
- In charge of building snow bars, making snowmen with kids, and other events
- Help the team inside the chalet if needed with general duties if not busy with maintenance / driving duties.
This role would suit individuals with the following skill set:
- Cautious and experienced driver (full driving license for a minimum of 5 years)
- Previous experience or qualifications in carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating or electrics
- You must be fit and strong as lifting and carrying is a large part of the job
- Maintaining up to date "snag" lists for each chalet
- Basic chalet maintenance
- Supervision of third party contractors
- Snow clearing as required every day
- Upkeep of the maintenance store and inventories
- English spoken (French & Russian will be a huge advantage)
- Smart appearance (short or tied back hair, no visible piercings or jewellery or tattoos while at work, always in smart clean uniform)
