La Bergerie is located on the site of an old "Bergerie" or Shepherd's Hut, and has been built with many of the original features in mind. The chalet is entered through the bottom floor, where there is plenty of space to leave your skis and boots, and from whence you walk up into this cosy and homely property.

Built
in the summer of 2002 using traditional large wooden beams
and locally sourced stone, le Bergerie is the most recently
built of le Chardon Mountain Lodges. In keeping with all the
chalets, it is built and decorated with care and with a prevailing
sense of calm and tranquil luxury.
The smallest of the 4 chalets, le Bergerie offers 5 ensuite
twin or king size bedrooms with an additional small interconnecting
bedroom, ideal for a child, or indeed three children.
Each
of the bedrooms has a sunny south facing aspect, and with
the wooden walls and ceilings, has a warm and cosy atmosphere,
perfect for those cold and long winter nights.
The vaulted ceiling of the open plan sitting / dining room gives a sense of space without losing the warmth of the room,
created by the open fire, and complemented by the rich colours
of the furnishings.
Whether eating breakfast or dinner, the
windows offer a spectacular view, and thesecluded hot tub on the terrace is the ideal place to watch the sun set at the end of a busy
day.
Please note that there is staff accommodation attached to this chalet.
