Skiing Val d’Isere for February mid-term

Well, I don’t know about you, but I’ve had enough of crash dieting, detoxing and embarrassing bodies, and I don’t just mean the TV schedule!

The French are renowned for staying relatively slim, despite the richness of the cuisine. They say it’s all down to portion size and moderation, all well and good when there’s a smidgeon of willpower thrown into the mix. As a Brit, it can be hard to overlook the faint whiff of smugness when discussing the ‘probleme de physique’.

However, one excellent way to burn off the calories is, of course, skiing, and you don’t need to feel bad when you tuck into your tartiflette or raclette after a few hours on the slopes. The cuisine of the French Alps is hearty, robust, and warming, a perfect foil to the freezing temperatures. You could always try it a la Madame Beckham and eat baby-sized portions but, really, where’s the fun in that?

We still have some availability for ski holidays in February, so why not browse our luxury catered ski chalets and check out our special offers. We can guarantee a fine dining experience, whether French or any other style you fancy, and some of the best skiing in the world.

…And to Val with detox!
